Where Are You? A Postmans Diary

Music worked closely with the author Kevin Boniface and the photographers
Shaw & Shaw, to produce this collection of diary entries, found notes, photos and
drawings, inspired by a career in the post office. Kevin has since secured a
publishing deal with Old Street Publishing and Music have designed the book

MIF 2007 Book

A book celebrating the highlights of the inaugural Manchester International
Festival that would be used to build anticipation for MIF 2009

MIF 2007 Poster

Promotional material for the individual Festival events. Il Tempo del Postino
was a contemporary art performance and the cross, which always appeared at
a different angle, signified the passage of time. The idea of art filling time rather
than space, and the concept of the cross were initiated by Peter Saville

Bolton Markets

An identity to promote Bolton Markets. The solution, featuring an illustration
by Jonny Voss, reflected the hustle and bustle of the trading environment
and was able to be used in its entirety or in sections for different applications

Bolton Council Recycling Campaign

The Council required an environmentally conscious identity strand to promote
a Cleaner Greener Bolton. The purpose of the identity was to encourage
individuals to take more responsibility for their environment

Bolton Council Newsletter

Music undertook the naming and design of ‘Bob’, the internal newsletter of
Bolton Council – read by everyone from the refuse collectors to the CEO

Allermuir Furniture Manufacturers

An annual publication that features the entire Allermuir product range and
an insight into the way Allermuir work, the people involved, the processes
and the inspirations

MCFC Press Advertising

To drive ticket sales for all of City’s Premiership home games, Music have developed
a press campaign for the 2007/08 season working closely with the club to react to attitudes
and events during the build up to each game. This has led to a campaign which has
stayed fresh, witty and (where possible) entertaining

MCFC Stadium Dressing

Manchester City approached Music with a simple request to convey a sense of ‘pride’
to the fans. Music’s response was to use the brief as a very public way for the club to
say thanks to its supporters by branding the turrets with the names of all 24,000 08/09
season ticket holders

MCFC CSR Report

The CSR report is an opportunity for the club to let stakeholders and supporters
know what it has been up to. By scaling the report up to a broad-sheet and using
bold imagery we produced a document that was as accessible as it was engaging.

MCFC Radio Advertising

Ctrl.Alt.Shift

Music was asked by Manchester-based agency Dorothy to design a poster to
help promote one of five new shorts directed by up and coming film makers

Place Space & Identity

Music were asked by photographers Liz Locke and Mishka Henner to design and
produce a book that documented the responses of 14 artists to the social, economic
and environmental changes affecting North Staffordshire. The book jacket unfolded
to display the names and full interviews of all the artists

MCFC Campaign 2009/10

Music worked on ticketing campaigns for Manchester City Football Club’s
‘big four’ Premiership for the 2009/10 season. To build anticipation in the
run up to City’s game against Arsenal, San Francisco based artist Michael
Gillette was commissioned to produce an illustration of City’s Emmanuel
Adebayor. The 25-year-old Togo international player moved to City in July
2009 from their pending opponents. The image was used across the city in
press, outdoor, ambient and instore advertising.

Tamewater Developments

Tamewater Court was a new development set in the beautiful countryside of
Uppermill. Music were asked to produce something that would introduce potential
buyers to the benefits of the area. The sales brochure took the form of a guide to
Tamewater including a map of the surrounding hills and villages, and where to find
the best pint in the area

Joly Good TV

Titles for Songbook, a TV show about classic songwriters commissioned
for Sky Arts, produced by Joly Good TV

Creative Review

Music were asked by Creative Review magazine to design the cover for the
August ‘09 issue. Yes, another list. The cover was foiled onto a single sided
greyboard.

D&AD

Music was asked to produce the graphics for the mammoth D&AD 2009 judging
event held in April at Olympia. Buff or rough?

A book of four short stories written by Kevin Boniface as a follow up to
A Postman’s Diary. The solution uses a z-fold to cunning effect

London Design Festival

Music were one of 30 agencies invited by Grafik magazine to design a poster celebrating
an Olympic sport for an exhibition which was part of London Design Festival. We designed
a poster for BMX, and enlisted the help of 3 young members of Manchester BMX Club and
their coach Sam Foakes (former World No.1 Flatland BMX Champion) to help us ‘make’
the posters. Olympic 2012 hopeful Shanaze Reade signed the limited edition posters.
All proceeds go to the British Paralympic Fund and the charity Right To Play.
